The LiftUp food bank is one of Routt County’s most critical resources to help people in moments of need. We depend on your donations to help keep fresh, healthy, quality food on our shelves to feed our neighbors. Thank you to those who donate.
We believe that we can reduce hunger in Routt County, where 11% of our neighbors live in poverty. In 2025, we distributed 493,787 pounds of grocery items, 6,779 boxes of USDA food staples and provided 186,572 snacks to children through our Rocket Pack program.

During construction to our future Food Bank, the LiftUp Food Bank is temporarily housed at 1880 Loggers Lane, Unit D, just around the corner from the Thrift Store and Donation Center at 2125 Curve Ct. Come see us!

Do you need assistance? Case Workers appreciate your patience and will respond to inquiries and requests within 3-5 days. They do not respond on Saturday, Sunday or on federal holidays.
Please review the application AND the Client Document Checklist. Submit your application and required documentation to caseworker@liftuprc.org. If email is not possible, hard copies may be delivered in person to one of our Food Banks during their hours of operation.

Do I qualify for services (food, financial, or basic needs)?
LiftUp serves Routt county residents with an income of 300% or less of the Federal Poverty Level. Review the LiftUp Guidelines column below as a first step in determining if you can apply for assistance.
What if I don’t qualify? Can I still get assistance?
Anyone can access the Grab-N-Go food section daily in the front of our Food Banks without registering with LiftUp or showing an ID. If you are in need of basic items such as a warm coat, a pair of shoes, etc. you can come to the Food Banks to receive a one-time voucher for the Thrift Store to items needed.

Reducing Hunger LiftUp Achievements
In 2024, we distributed 428,713 pounds of grocery items, 6,221 boxes of USDA food staples and provided 193,187 snacks to children through our Rocket Pack Program.
Grocery & Restaurant Rescue – local stores & restaurants generously donate food that is close to expiration. In 2025 LiftUp accepted 68,697 pounds through this program.
Sustainability studies – In partnership with the Yampa Valley Sustainability Council, LiftUp examined our waste streams as an attempt to document our partnerships with local ranchers and farmers in an effort to minimize the flow of organic food waste to local landfills.
Organic Waste Stream Management – LiftUp worked with local ranchers and with Elkstone Farm to turn any food waste into animal food, mushroom growth medium, and compost.
