Thrift Store reopens June 10; Donation Center reopens June 11

New floor editThe Lift-Up Community Thrift Store is set to reopen at 10 a.m. Monday, June 10, after being closed to install new flooring (see the photo to the right) and make other remodeling changes.

For those who want to bring in donated items for the store, the Donation Center will reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 11.

LIFT-UP of Routt County, founded in 1996, provides emergency assistance to Routt County residents in need. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operates food banks in Steamboat Springs, Hayden and Oak Creek,  in addition to managing the Community Thrift Store in Steamboat.

LIFT-UP served a total of 2,512 individuals in 2012, with 1,386 households given assistance. The revenue from the Community Thrift Store last year covered all the costs of that program and its operation, plus provided about $127,000 toward funding the Emergency Assistance and Food Bank program.

Call 970-870-0727 or email for more information.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to seeing you in the store!
