Salvation Army Kettle Campaign yields $19K

bell ringer oneWith five locations in Steamboat Springs and a whopping 300 volunteers, the 2012 Salvation Army Kettle Campaign raised $19,466.75.

Volunteer bell ringers braved the cold, wind, and snow in November and December to bolster our fundraising efforts and further our mission to help those in need. We’d like to offer our sincere thanks to all the volunteers and donors who helped make the 2012 Kettle Campaign a success.

Safeway also held a food drive that ended up collecting 3,700 pounds of food for the Lift-Up Food Bank.

While we are a separate entity, Lift-Up of Routt County administers the Salvation Army funds for Routt County residents on behalf of the local Salvation Army Extension Committee. Available for general emergency needs, these funds come entirely from holiday bell ringing.
